This survey was one of the activities of the APSR ORCA Support Network in 2007. Documentation of the survey and completion of the report have taken place during the first half of 2008, with the support of APSR, the ANDS Establishment Project, The University of Queensland, The University of Melbourne and the Queensland University of Technology. The Australian Partnership for Sustainable Repositories (APSR), was established in 2003 as a broad coalition of institutions promoting excellence in digital research collections for the higher education sector. APSR was supported by the Systemic Infrastructure Initiative as part of the Commonwealth Government's Backing Australia's Ability - An Innovative Action Plan for the Future. The ANDS Establishment Project has been funded by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR) through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).
